2010 Cardinal Classic

8/18-22/2010 Cardinal Center Marengo, OH

An increase of 816 entries put the shoot up 16.1% with a total of 5,893 entries total. There were 2,166 entries in the championship events which made it a 6 pt. All AmericanShoot. There were shooters from the east coast as well as California, Canada, and even a visitor from South Africa. In all 28 states were represented at the competition. Weather for the event was good with the exception of some rain on Saturday afternoon.

Larry Taylor (200) from Middleberg, OH topped David Proper, Paul Dom, & Derek Stringer in a shoot off for the Singles Championship. Joseph Charnigo (100) from Creston, OH bested Richard Marshall & Tank Lunsford to earn the DBLS Championship title. Also decided by shoot off Handicap winner David Riddle (98) from Frankfort, KY out shot Leo Harrison III for the top spot. Robert Malmstedt (Somerville, NJ) won HOA by shooting a 973 and Leo Harrison III (396) edged out Joe Charnigo's 395 for the All Around title.
Lady Shooter Jackie Snellenberger (Coldwater, MI)dominated the Lady's division winning AA(931), HOA(968), Handicap(96), & DBLS(97) competitions. Laura Spiridon's (Warren, PA) 199 earned her the lady's Single Champion Title. JR Shooter Cody Davis (Shohola, PA) earned the HOA & AA titles by shooting 949 & 379 respectively for the two events. He also placed top in class for 8 of the 12 events in the competition. Sub JR. Billy Wade Conn (Sandy Hook, KY) topped his class to earn the AA title by shooting a 385 & Charles Bennett JR (Sussex, NJ) was the Sub JR. HOA winner for his 944 effort.

The new sporting clays courses were open for business during the shoot and busy all week long.
