2010 Dixie Grand American

The record cold temperatures that have gripped the nation for the first part of 2010 made it all the way south to Tampa last week for the opening days of the 11th annual 2010 Dixie Grand. In conditions more typical to Wisconsin in November then Florida in January, a near record crowd of competitors battled the elements as well as the competition in what has become the “Kick Off” event for the trapshooting season. Besides the early morning cold in the beginning of the week, the weather played a role on the competition as breezy conditions prevailed throughout the week but at least by the end of the event the temperatures where more typical of what’s expected in Florida this time of the year. It spite of the frigid conditions, Club manager, Bill Miller and his capable crew had “The Dollar” in top shape and ready from the opening shot of the 11th annual 2010 Dixie Grand.
