2010 PENNSYLVANIA STATE SHOOT

6/12-20/2010: Since 1891 Pennsylvania trap shooter have gathered to hold a state wide competition to determine the state’s “Top Shot”. This year’s competition had 1152 shooters for the singles championship and 1257 hopeful competitors for the Krieghoff Handicap. The weather for the week long competition co-operated nicely with dry conditions, light to moderate breezes, and tolerable summer temperatures with generally low humidity.

Frank Pasco of New Castle, PA is this year’s “Top Shot” with his win in Singles and his 1st place HOA score of 1068. He placed 2nd in HAA scoring 388 just 2 targets behind Stephen Ollock of Mainesburg, PA who shot a 390 for the win. Stephanie Sandler from New Ringgold, PA made history by being the 1st lady to win dbls championship. She was also Lady’s HOA (1055) & HAA (389) Champ. Dennis Siarkowski from Tarentum, PA topped 1257 shooters to win the Krieghoff Handicap with a 98. John Spangler won the Krieghoff Challenge and a new K-80 Trap Combo Special. Bornman Hamilton is the new Lady’s Single Champ topping Laura Spiridon in a shoot off. Tyler Nunes shot a 200 to be named the sub jr. singles champ.
