2010 Ohio State SCTP Trap Championship

6/21/2010: Under sunny skies and warm temperatures 44 squads of shooters (up 10% from last year)from all over the state assembled to determine the bragging rights for the next year at this year’s Ohio State SCTP Championship. Supported by family, coaches, and friends these young shooters are excellent examples of what the competitive shooting sports are all about. ..Everyday people pursuing a passion that requires responsibility, concentration, and self discipline. This year’s competition was a 200 bird singles event that grouped shooters by their age and experience (Rookie, Intermediate Entry, Intermediate Advanced, Jr. Varsity, Varsity,   Open).

In addition to the shooting competition Ohio State Division of Wildlife offered archery shooting and assisted with a fishing tournament and the Ohio Trapshooting Association provided a picnic for parents, coaches, and shooters. It's been said time and time again that young people are the future of the shooting sports. Based on the current crop of young shooters who are involved in the Ohio State SCTP program and the dedication of the hundreds of volunteers who give back to the sport, trapshooting has a strong base for the future…Good Job , Well Done to All Involved…Thanks for your efforts.
